Stabbur (sta bor) is the creation of Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant, located outdoors in the green space just to the south of the restaurant. Featuring a constantly-changing roster of 20 draft beers with a focus on Wisconsin craft brews and hand-crafted specialty cocktails like the Malmo Mule, Rolf’s Bloody Mary, and Stockholm Cooler. This beer garden has multiple giant HD TV displays which makes it great to catch some sports, while the kid friendly grounds feature lawn games like Jenga, goat ring toss, and bean bags. Picnic tables dot the open green space under the trees, where you can sit back watch the sunset and the stars come out at night over Sister Bay Beach. The building itself is constructed from Norwegian logs left over form the construction of the restaurant in 1973 and creates a dramatic focal point in downtown Sister Bay. Door County’s most unique outdoor bar.
Location: 10698 N. Bay Shore Drive, across from the Sister Bay Beach and next door to Al Johnson’s

The buoy is out on the ice! What are your predictions for when the ice will “go out” of Sister Bay?
In 2016, the Ice Out raft started floating at 7:40 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16 . When do you think it will float this year?
What is the “Ice Out” Contest, you ask? Businesses around northern Door host a voting box – where voters fill out a slip of paper with their name, phone number and the date and time of day they believe the ice will “go out” of the bay in the early spring. A winner is chosen from each host business and that person will receive the prize donated by that host business.
For 2017, these businesses are offering prizes to the person who guesses the date and time of day closest to when the official Ice Out raft marks the ice leaving the bay.
A winner will be chosen from each business’ box:
